The locomotive "Hohenlimburg" was already in use on the Hohenlimburg Light Railway in 1899 as one of three two-axle box-type locomotives. Due to the characteristics of the route, with its numerous town crossings and some tight curve radii, compact box-type locomotives were particularly well suited for operation in the early days.
Wilesco interprets this historical prototype as a fully functional steam model in a classic green, black, and red color scheme , inspired by historical locomotives of this era. The enclosed design, compact construction, and clean lines give the Wilesco D300 steam locomotive "Hohenlimburg" a striking and authentic appearance.
The model is designed for G gauge (45 mm, compatible with LGB® systems) and is powered by solid fuel . During operation , visible steam escapes from the chimney , impressively enhancing the typical steam locomotive experience.
This model is designed to have RC speed control .
