This set includes the real steam classic - the model steam engine D16 - together with the Wilesco drive models large transmission M57 and the drilling machine M51 , as well as the required drive spirals.

Expansion with additional drive models is easily possible. The "D 165 Value Pack" provides you with an affordable starter set. The technical specifications correspond to the D16 steam model:

Its brass boiler is highly polished and nickel-plated, and with a diameter of 55 mm and a length of 140 mm, it has a capacity of 250 cm³. This gives the D16 enough power to operate various accessories simultaneously. The brass boiler also features a water level indicator designed as a sight glass.

The boiler house is designed with a brick pattern, one of the two walkways leads to each side of the boiler house, and on the side facing the boiler there is a small ladder leading to the walkways.

The double-acting, fixed brass cylinder of this model steam engine is equipped with a flywheel that can be started in either direction. Of course, a spring-loaded safety valve is also included on the D16.

The steam whistle with chain pull and the steam shut-off handwheel valve allow you to control the steam output of this powerful engine. Other high-quality features of the Wilesco D16 include an 80 mm diameter flywheel with a pulley and solid, elegant die-cast rods, a centrifugal regulator, a steam jet lubricator, and the gallery rod. This steam engine model weighs 1.8 kg, and its chimney smokes faithfully. The steam engine is powered by solid fuel.
