The Wilesco D9 steam engine kit is identical to the popular Wilesco D10 and is therefore particularly suitable for hobbyists and steam engine enthusiasts who are interested in this model.
The D9 steam engine's powerplant is equipped with a double-acting cylinder, which is significantly more powerful than models with oscillating cylinders. The model is also equipped with a complete steam control system and a centrifugal regulator.
The boiler of the D9 steam engine has a volume of 155 cm³ and a size of 115 mm x 45 mm. The residual water in the boiler has no negative impact on the durability of the engine and can be easily emptied "overhead" by removing the filler valve.
The D9 model is also equipped with a true-to-original, steaming chimney, providing additional real steam fun. Condensate is channeled from the cylinder into a condensate tray at the rear of the boiler house, resulting in a smoking chimney.
